“Be Bold, Be You – Storytime with L.C. Baker & Bradical the Dog”
Bring an inspiring and interactive literary experience to your school or library with Be Bold, Be You!—a 60-minute author presentation led by L.C. Baker and based on her acclaimed debut picture book, The Incredibly Radical Bradical.
Tailored for Junior Kindergarten to Grade 3 and ideal for groups of fewer than 100 students, this session combines storytelling, discussion, and creativity to promote self-expression, kindness, and confidence.
During the visit, students will:
– Experience a dynamic read-aloud of The Incredibly Radical Bradical, brought to life through expressive storytelling and audience engagement
– Learn about the author’s creative journey and the inspiration behind the story
– Participate in an age-appropriate discussion about embracing individuality, accepting others, and choosing compassion
– Complete a guided creative activity: “My Radical Self”—a provided worksheet where students can draw, write, or create a short rhyme about what makes them unique
– Conclude with a Q&A session and receive a Bradical-themed bookmark to take home
This presentation aligns with social-emotional learning goals and supports conversations around self-worth, empathy, and community-building in a fun and accessible way.
